The 8th Petaling Jaya Concert Band was established on 4th January 2014 under the guidance of Mr. Edwin Wong, who is also the Band Instructor and Resident Conductor. The Concert Band comprises of various sections with a small variety of instruments such as Trumpets, French Horn, Trombones, Tuba, Euphonium, Saxophones, Clarinets, Flutes, Piccolo, and not forgetting the heartbeat of the band, the Percussion section.
The band is open to all members of the senior section (Ages 13-19), led by our very own
Lieutenant Ng Sherwin. Official practice times are from 8.30am to 11.30am every Saturday alongside our regular parade schedule from January to October.
All members of the senior section are highly encouraged to join the band as is it an experience of a lifetime. On top of that, the band also serves as a great platform to promote the habits of the Brigade mainly discipline, teamwork, focus, and perseverance.
